WARM UPS

Ø   “MY IDEAS’’ (10 min)

Have students go to MIND42: http://mind42.com/  and write the ideas or some daily routines. You have to send the invitation to each student, so they can enter and write their ideas.

 Ø  ‘’DERIVATION’’(10 min)

Divide the class into two groups and give each group a phrase containing the same quantity of letters, so students have to write a word or phrase (according to the level) from each letter of the phrase given.
  Example:

C- CREATE                                       D-DAY

O-ORANGE                                       R-READ

M-MONDAY                                     I-INVENT

E- ERASER                                        V-VIOLIN

E-EARN                                             E-END

A-AIRPLANE                                   A-AIR

R-RIVER                                            C-CAR

L-LIKE                                               A-AND

Y-YOU                                               R-ROAD

The first group to finish will be the winner. You can use phrases like:

Come early--read a book                      wake up--go away                    play soccer--play tennis

Eat potato--drink milk                          junk food--fast food                be patient--be relaxed

NOTE: You can develop this activity on the board or you ask them to work individually, but you have to post the words on facebook for them to work, or they send you the file to your e-mail.
